Dont worry this is normal. just make sure your rabbit is still eating. because if your rabbit is shedding alot, and stops eating. that means that your rabbit has gotten a hair ball and will not eat because his stomach is so full. if your rabbit has stopped eating go to the vet. this isnt rare but some owners have not noticed that there rabbits. When a fastidious self-grooming animal such as a rabbit undergoes a shedding cycle, it's almost inevitable that some fur is going to be swallowed. although rabbits do not typically get "hairballs" (with the exception of some of the long-haired breeds), ingested hair can be difficult to pass, and can make the bunny uncomfortable.. Rabbits shed [molt] about 2 to 3 times a year. all my bunnies are shedding too. its because there loosing there winter coat and trading it in for a summer coat. the hair its loosing just look like a dullier color too..
Rabbits will shed in different ways. some rabbits will take a couple of weeks or more to loose their old coat of fur. other rabbits will be ready to get rid of their old coats all in one day and these rabbits are the ones that cannot be neglected once they start shedding..
